Whether you’re a coach, athletic director, booster club volunteer, or team parent, our templates are designed to help you create professional-looking graphics quickly and consistently throughout the season.
This guide will walk you through the entire process—from accessing your files to sharing polished graphics on social media.
Step 1: Download Your Files
After your purchase, you’ll receive a PDF download containing links to your Canva templates. The PDF is available when you complete your purchase on the website and it will be emailed to the address on file.
Save this PDF in a location that’s easy to find, as you’ll use it whenever you want to access your templates in the future.

Step 2: Open Your Canva Templates
Click the template link inside your PDF.
Canva will prompt you to create a copy of the design in your own Canva account.
Once you’ve made your copy, the template is yours to edit as many times as you’d like.
Tip: Never edit the original master template. Always create your own copy first so you have a clean version to return to whenever you need it.

Step 3: Organize Your Templates with Canva Projects
One of the easiest ways to save time during the season is by organizing your templates inside Canva Projects.
We recommend creating folders such as:
• Football 2026
• Cheer 2026
• Volleyball
• Senior Night
• Sponsors
• Fundraising
• Social Media
Keeping your templates organized makes it easy to find the right design when game day arrives.
As your library grows, a consistent folder structure can save hours throughout the season.

Step 4: Customize Your Team Branding
Now it’s time to make the templates your own.
Replace:
- Team colors
- Logos
- Athlete photos
- Player names
- Dates
- Opponents
- Schedules
- Sponsor information
The templates are designed to be flexible, so you can quickly update them throughout the season without starting from scratch.

Step 5: Duplicate Instead of Starting Over
One of Canva’s biggest time-saving features is duplication.
Instead of opening a new template every week, duplicate last week’s design and simply update:
- Opponent
- Date
- Score
- Player photos
- Headlines
This keeps your branding consistent while dramatically reducing the time it takes to create new graphics.

Step 6: Download Your Graphics
When your design is finished, download it in the format that best fits your needs.
Most social media graphics work well as PNG files.
Posters and print materials may be better downloaded as PDF Print files for the highest quality.
Always preview your graphics before sharing or printing.
